Adding Ballast

We have a 2006 Supra Gravity Games Edt. It has 3 bags for onboard ballast already set up on pumps with switches. We also have two other bags that we fill along with the three. Could we install a fill and drain hose off of the pumps that are already in there by branching the fill and drain hoses and just adding a valve, so we would be able to fill and drain bags that were sitting in the bow seating and floor. If this is possible will the pump have enough force to push the water up above pump level to seat level?

No. The Supra's and Moomba's are a little different than other wake boats. You have one 2000gph Rule fill pump that forces water into a manifold. The water is pushed through electric valves connected to fill lines going into each sac. To drain, each bag has a 800gph pump near it. The pump must be lower or level with the bottom of the sac in order to stay primed.

You will need to either "T" off the thru-hull and add another manifold or a pump. You are limited by space. You can wire the additional pump to the ballast switch that makes sense.

If throwing the pumps over the boat is taking too long you can integrate but it will not be as easy as adding valves and "y"s.

the way i did my nautique is is to take the line off the the vent/overfill into the bag and the putting the vent off the other whole in the bag . when the tank fills it over flows into the extra sack then when that fills it then flows out the side of the boat just like stock bags. it will also empty the stock tank as well as the bag as the tank empties the tank will suck out the extra sack and empties out everything just like stock

Supra's and Moomba's before 2009 don't have a vent line. Just a fill and a drain. Not the best ballast system design.

Our boat does have a vent line...at least I think so. It has an overflow. Once each bag gets full there are 3 separate overflow spots on the side of the boat where it will dump until you turn the pumps off. As far as the extra bags being in the seat and floor how would that work?
