I saw two semi's with flatbeds in front of the Rocklin store Saturday. From the looks of it there hauling boats away.

They are OUT OF BUSINESS, some doors may be "open" and they may sell you this and that but they are gone! I have yet to hear the specifics on the Malibu's yet. Ski Cents are being distributed and Nor Cal has all the Fat Deals on the Mastercrafts they lost mid season. It's gonna be a new world in Northern California in the months and years to come, for better or worse.

I know they are out of business. I was just wondering what stores might still be "open" and have some product left around.

The Fairfield/Cordelia store still has a ton of merchandise in the store, BUT they closed a couple weeks ago.

I heard from a "fairly" reliable source yesterday that Central Valley Marine in Campbell is going to be the new Bay Area Malibu dealer. I took that as kinda odd, but the source that I heard it from is very informed most of the time. I have yet to call over there and ask the scoop, but just passing on the info that was told to me. FWIW.

I have heard the same, from folks I trust....it will be interesting to see how well Malibu and CC play together...MC wouldn't go for it in the past, but then they started making exceptions as dealers dropped out..for example, Cope had both Bu and MC in Rohnert Park and Lake Tahoe. These builders may be forced to go into stores with competing brands, because soon the only dealers worth a crap will need to sell multiple inboard lines just to cover the geographical territory.

The builders are going to have to go to existing dealers that have a good credit line w/GE. What other financial institution would take on a new dealer? Nobody!!

CVM is going to have Malibu, Nautique, and Sanger on the same lot according to what I was told yesterday. They also got Cope's Four Winns and Pontoon boats as well.

All I know is that Malibu needs to get at least another dealer in the Bay Area (somewhere more central). I am not going to travel over 1-1/2 hrs to get a repair....

Its good to hear that Central Valley is picking up the slack in the Santa Clara area. I have not dealt outside of their proshop but Brian (maybe his name is Ryan, I'm not sure) is awesome and is always a great guy to deal with.
