I actually like the looks of the 22si. Regal eliminated all of the truly gimmicky stuff and configured it more like a wakeboard/runabout hybrid.

I'm betting these boats don't catch on and you will be able to STEAL a used one in a few years. Regal does a pretty good job with construction and service, so this may be a good "cheap" boat down the line a bit...

Great boats and some really cool innovations since they came at the market from a new viewpoint. SeaRay will confirm it's a damn tough market to "crossover" into and be a real player.

I talked to a dealer that is about to start selling them, he said that some friends of his had bought the rights to the boats from Regal. He didn't say who would produce them. He was pretty partial to the Session (he is a dealer though). This is all hearsay though.

I think the best Sessions that the regal owners can have is behind there friends malibus, nautiques or mastercrafts.

You watch other people session behind their boats, while you sit in it and watch tv.

The Session is a solid wakeboard boat. I own a Regal runabout and have talked to Mike (one of the owners) about the Session for many hours. I have also spent many hours with Thomas Horrell aoub the boat. I have also been on the boat. The Session is a good boat. The wake is just as good as a Mastercraft, Nautique, Tige, or any other trendy boat out there. I personally really like the Session, its options, and the fact that it is different. This is one line of boats that will not just die. Pros enjjoy riding behind the Session and judges say that it is the most comfortable boat to judge competitions from. I reccomend it highly. The boat is made with a very high quality and the warranty is great too. Personally my favorite is the 22si, black from top to bottom with a single red stripe and the taper graphics not the flame graphics. My only concern is the lack of options of speakers I can put on the tower. I would most likely order the tower without accessories and add my own later, most likely MAKO, SKYLON, or my new fav. FUSION. If you have any other questions please email me. I am a big fan of being non-trendy in the the wakeboard industry...most likely why I now ride Gator Boards.

Brian, was that a joke? If any boat is trendy it is the NEW regal session. What competions does it pull. PWT, X-Games,G-games,boardstock? I am pretty sure that the big (old) three have most, if not all, tournaments covered. I am not bagging on the boat. Its just my opinion that its gay.

so the wake is good is it rampy / vert wide/narrow? Is the stock ballast enough?

Paul - can you tell me why you have this opinion just so i can understand what your getting at? have you tried one or seen the wake? Im being serious because i need to understand, is it just because you have a different boat which is fine or is it because you have experience with the boat

thanks

Personally I don't care for it. The seating arrangement is horrible in my opinion. Although it would be nice to be able to watch people ride, but that arrangement separates the boat into too many sections. I wouldn't buy a direct drive boat though either. I don't like the looks of the tower, bimini or board racks. I don't see any room for additional fat sacs. Of course they say you don't need them, but I believe in bigger is better. Last thing I want to do when I am out on the water is to watch television or play video games. Sorry, all my comments are purely objective. I have never ridden in or behind one. I don't know anyone who owns one and I wouldn't buy one no matter how cheap it was.

That was funny wakenup

The wake behind the Session is clean and can be both rampy or vert. A common wake physic is that if you fill the forward ballast tanks more or put more weight in the middle to front of the boat the wake will be more rampy. If you put the most weight in the back of the boat then the wake will be more steep. The Session has three of four ballast tanks depending on the model you choose. The 22si pumps in 620 pounds bewteen three tanks. The 22xi pumps in 910 lbs between four tanks. The Session also has storage compartments that are designed to be able to hold additional fat sacs. The compartments are also symetrical in order to not throw the shape of the wake all crappy. For instance, in the 22si there is a compartment behind the driver seat to hold at least a 300 lbs sac, a floor locker that could hold a 300 lbs sac, and a compartment that is on the passanger side of the boat that could hold a sac. The storage in the boat is great too. Four boards on the tower and at least three boards under the seats even if a fat sac is under a seat too. I hope this helps.

Steve,
I don't like the layout, tower, and especially the TV. Actually, I think the TV makes the whole boat dumb. No, I have never been in one, or rode behind one. Yes, I do have a different brand, but I like most of the other brands as well. It is just one persons opinion. I am sure that a lot of other people like them, and if you are one of those people then it shouldn't matter.

I have ridden behind the boat and I like it just as much as a SAN Team Edition with additonal tanks. Demo the boat and look into the dealer's rep. Peace.

Well when I get to old to wakeboard, and the inujuries too frequent, I will go with a Chapparal, which I think in quality is one of the best runabouts. until that day, I think I will have stick with Bu unless quality or price get out of whack, then over to nauti or supra. Nauti, MC, and Bu trendy, hardly. Been behind all them for the last 15 years
