we just got a pole and it fits snug at the bottom of the pole but the smaller pylon inside gets smaller at the top so the pole moves around quite a bit, does this do this on all boats or is it my small pylon? also, the holes to mount the "eye" for slaloming and such, is a bit too low, is it safe to drill new holes myself an inch or 2 above? hope this makes sense to you guys

and this is also an ichor pole

Mine shifts around a little bit but not much. It is a Skylon. It has not given me any problems. As far as drilling new holes that should be fine. The main thing you want to watch is the factory pylon where the floor meets it and make sure that it is not shifting. Skylon makes sleeves that slide over the pole to snug the fit.
