Has anyone ever traveled with a wakeboard. It obviously cannot be a carry-on. Therefore, what is the best way to pack the wakeboard so it does not get damaged?

Get a nice padded bag, some pipe insulation, and some 2" masking tape. Take the fins off and wrap the perimeter of the board in the pipe insulation. I also added rolled up newspaper to the ends and taped it all up. Pack some other clothes and towels in the bag and you're set. When they ask you what it is, don't say it is a wakeboard. Simply say "ski equipment" and they likely won't charge you extra.
