That is pretty damn cheap. I actually just put an inquiry into Jabsco to see if I could order some direct. Maybe we can get a group order together or something. Bruce, that is on wakeworld is looking for 3 in the next little while and I might want 2.

I just got off the phone with Jabsco and it looks like you have to go through a distributor. From what I can tell the best price might be an online retailer. I can get the Ballast Puppy with the switch. I could probably sell it for the $230-$250 range.

Try the Simer, they are very similar pumps (impeller, reversible, 600gph) and can be found for around $100. http://www.hardwareandtools.com/invt/6958862

Simer wont work for me, they are not ignition protected. I need to mount them in the engine compartment.

They did for me. I just brought in a print out from the website. This was two years ago and I don't think they have changed their policy.

I believe that 18220-1123 is SS by 18220-1127 which is why that company doesn't have any in stock. I believe the most current number is 18220-1127. The Simer pumps suck balls. I have those in my boat and they are cheap junk. They have plastic housings so if you accidently leave them running dry for like a minute or 2 they melt the housings. I have had 2 melt the housing before anything happened to the impeller. You also can't get replacement part for them. The Jabsco's have a metal housing, have some sort of timer I believe and are ignition protected. Better to spend the extra $100 a piece now then buy pieces of crap that you will have to replace in a year or 2.

I just called West Marine and they can have the 18220-1123 dropshipped from Jabsco at 259.00 a piece. I didn't ask about price matching. I have an email into Jabsco asking what the difference is between the -1123 and -1127.

Ya, since it says out of stock, you may not be able to get the price (unless you get lucky). Worth a try.

Brett, Don't run them dry... I have been using Simers for a few summers, still happy with the results. Yes, the pump housings are plastic, they can be noisy too. But they work. I think I paid $200 for all three of my Simers from BE Atlas shipped. That leaves $400 for gas or other goodies. If the simers burn up I will replace them with Jabsco.

Ok, I have been contacted by the company that has them for 209.99. thgey only have one in stock. : ( but are checking with Jabsco on availabilty. ( i might have to get that one ) they said with purchaseing (10) they can give a price of 199.99. ( waiting on if they can get more ) I also got a response from Pumpbiz, and he said he can give a group buy, but hasnt responded back as to whether he would maych the 179.00 price or just get it under 200.00 so if I can pull this off, who wants one for 199.99 and how many would you buy. I plan on three (3)myself to get things started. if you would. E-mail me with your response at: snyderm@alltel.net maybe we can get some pumps.

i'm interested mike, but i'm a little on the fence. i'm trying to find someone to do my install. i've contacted two dealers. one i haven't heard back from yet and the other, whom i've spoke with, is a competing brand who uses different pumps. i'm trying to make sure they'd install the jabsco's for me if i supply them myself. i'll keep an eye on the thread.

Ok boys, ( and girls ) put up or shut up. I just got an email from Jeff at Pump biz. the going price is $179.00 for the 18220-1127 Here is his reply: Yes, ok. They can order over the web and use jeff in the comments section of the online order and we will only charge the 179 at time we actually “run the card”. Web order will show 200 but that is only auth., not sale. Or you can call in. I would want to collect the orders for the quantity. Hope I didnt waste my time, and you guys get to use the good deal.

I got my Simer from hardwareworld.com under the FloTec brand for $85 shipped. I've run them dry plenty and have had no issues. Fills four sacs in about 5 mins per sac.
