I know fantastiks new formula is not okay, but I was wondering if the following is okay to use? I'm thinking that it's the older okay formula but just stronger.

Sometime this winter. I got a letter from CC that said that the formula changed and not to use it anymore. My dealer says to us Dawn Dishwashing Liquid and water.

i thought it was still ok for gelcoat but not vinyl, due to the anti-bacterial agent...

zep induristal cleanr degreaser, mixed with water is the best stuff I have ever used. You can only get it at home depot. Make sure you use a 10 to 1 on the seats and floor, than take a sponge and a scrub brush and you will be amazied the difference it makes. A little goes a long way.

I'm thinking that what I saw on ebay was the older formula, non anti-bacterial.

Zep eh?

never use a degreaser on your vinyl, it dries it out and makes it crack. never use 409 either.

I have not heard about the new formulation problem, other than on this board.

bftskir, I wouldn't have put it on gelcoat as that there are so many other good alternatives, but yes, I cannot imagine it being harmful to the gelcoat.

I did mention to only use a little. I have used it on mine for over 7 yrs and have not had any cracking. I also use 303 after I have cleaned it.

My local grocery store has a few variations of Fantastik. There is the anti-bacterial one that the boat manufacturers are saying not to use, but then there is Fatastik Heavy Duty and Fantastik Oxi-clean. I winder if these two are unsafe as well?
