I have a 2003 GMC Yukon that is a 2WD, and has a little over 100k miles on it. I recently upgraded my boat from a 2001 Sanger to a 2007 Malibu VTX, which obviously weighs significantly more. I tow my boat approximately 150 miles round trip to the lake, and encounter a pretty steep grade on the way there.

Anyway, my truck seems to be struggling a bit more while towing the boat, especially up the grade. I currently have flowmasters and a K&N air filter, but have been contemplating the purchase of a chip or air intake system.

My obvious/ideal solution would be to upgrade to a newer F250 or 2500 Silverado, but the truck is paid for, and I would like to use it for as long as possible.

Any recommendations as to whether the chip or air intake system would be more effective, and which brand should I go with? Also, would it even make much difference at this point?

Thanks in advance.

If you have the money, the best way to go is the Squires Turbo System... it's by far the best intake system out there...
