Pano's in OS X

Just wondering if anyone here has a favorite piece of software for doing pano stitches in OS X? An Aperture plugin would be nice, but I'm not aware of one.

I've used Elements for this in the past, but no longer have Elements and would like to find a simpler application for this one task.

I did a real ghetto one in photoshop in about 3 minutes. You load all the photos into different layers of a new project, select edit->auto align layers then edit->auto blend layers (I noticed the stack option worked best). You can spend a lot more time doing your own layer masks and it will look a lot better but that was the 3 step quick and easy option.

Until Aperture supports layers you won't see one.

I use AutoPano Pro for landscape stitches but not sure if it will do sequence type stitching.

I'm not looking for layer edits to do a sequence. I'm actually doing real work right now and want to put together panos of a few locations I'm siting to build projects.

I shot pics to stitch at a bunch of sites in the field and just need to put them together. It's crazy to think that as well as stacks work in Aperture, there isn't a plug-in to put them together. I'm familiar enough with PS and Elements that I could do it, it just seems like there should be a really easy way.

Thanks for the Autopano tip, I'll check it out.

Stacks really has nothing to do with layers, it's only a graphical collection so to speak.

Check out APP then it's easier and I think gives better results then the photomerge command in PS.

APP look great. I also came across Double Take so I'll probably check out both.

My reference to stacks was just that it gets the process half way done. I'm out shooting a whole bunch of sites and adjusting the stacks timeframe essentially auto-selects each pano batch. I'm just dreaming about a 'right-click'->Plugin->Stitch type workflow from there.

So...Doubletake makes it almost as easy as I was hoping. A decent value at $24 for someone that doesn't need to do heavy editing.
