I have a Mastercraft X-2 With 925 lbs extra ballast and an 18 pitch propeller. I love my wake but I can get an good price for the 2005 Malibu VLX + I can sell my boat for a nice price. The only thing I want to know is if it is possible to get the same wake with the same extra ballast? or even better?

If you love your wake then why switch to a vlx? Like Kevin says we can't tell you what to like. Give the vlx a try.

Its a much wider boat. Wider boats make rampier wakes. Wider boats are harder to sink. The deeper you sink the boat, the more vertical the wake.

We only have 1 VLX with only the stock ballast. no Wedge. I will switch because there is is always something broken on my boat and the service in Belgium is terrible.

you can get an incredible wake out of an 05 VLX wiith an extra 900+ lbs. With the wedge you can change the wake frome rampy to vert as riders prefer.
