sv230 or sv240

Looking at a new enzo since the finance term is so much longer but not sure if its worth the extra 10k to go for the 240. Not sure I really need one of the larger motors since we will mainly be surfing and dont really do power turns at full speed. I would like the side exhaust but i guess a fresh air exhaust could always be put on. Any options I cannot go without besides some sort of perfect pass or such? Tell me why I should go for the 240 over the 230 and what options to look for, thanks. We surf port so do we need the switchblade and can it be added later? Compared to other boats I am surprised I can get a 230 for only 50k these days.

You should be able to get a 240 for 50K - where r u from?

Texas. I have seen some good prices in Cali but the trade in is the problem with buying in Cali. Otherwise I would just have it shipped out here. Gonna be looking for a good deal either way since the economy they cant be moving to many boats.

friend bought one of those $55k enzos from a cali dealership that went under,when he took it to 2 different texas dealers they told him they wouldnt warranty the boat since they didnt sell it to him.
his pleas have gone unaswered.now completely bummed he bought a dealer repo boat.

Sounds like he needs to call centurion cause thats bs.

If you are really into wake surfing, get the 240. I've had 3 230s and am on my 3rd 240. The 240 is not only longer but it's deeper. The wake is much better with the 240. Don't worry about the bigger engine. Just go with the 5.7 Scorpion. We have one with the 5.7 and one with the 6.2 and CANNOT tell the difference. Sideswipe is nice, but in a cross-wind it can still blow in your face. My next boat will have FAE. If you are going to plumb in an enzo sac, make sure the boat had dual rear ballast. That way you can reuse the two pumps for empty and two fill lines.

Waves, according to my dealer up here, repo boats should have FULL factory warranty.

Have your friend call Centurion, they are great and should be able to get it worked out for you.

1st off, can’t go wrong with either boat. However, I have ridden 240 several times and own an Avy. I dont think there is a better surf wake on the market than the 240. I would not want the Sideswipe or the Switchblade, but I would want at least 340hp engine. Get one with the quad ballast and all you have to do is take out the hard tanks and drop the Enzo sacs in and you are ready to surf. By the way, I have an FAE and it is great. It cuts down on the CO2 and engine noise significantly.

Also, if you want a 22ft boat take a look at the Avy. I think it has surf wake as good as any boat (other than 240). I have mine set up with 1,200lb custom Avy sacs. It throws up a great surf wake (powerful, but not quite the push as an Enzo at the back of the wave) and has a great wakeboard wake.

Yeah, dealers not wanting to do warranty work on your boat because you didn't buy from them is BS!! Just plain Jerk Off on the dealers part. That makes them all look bad. I never understood that, warranty work is free work. So what if you didn't make a few bucks up front... you don't want a new customer? WTF?

Talked to centurion and basically the deal is if you buy a boat they will make sure its warrantied but they would like to see you purchase local. Another point he made if your having local dealer problems the motor is mercury so you can get service at any murcury dealer since the warranty is through murcury.
