SANGER V210

Just picked up a new V210, 350 mag etc blah im stoked. Have a couple questions????
Is Perfect Pass worth buying?
What ballast configuration are you guys running?

Perfect pass is WORTH buying. Anyone can drive decent with perfect pass as long as they can steer.

perfect pass is a no brainer, best investment you'll make.

i don't own a v210, but i understand the best way to weight them is with the majority of weight in the belly. i think letsgoride makes a custom sack...

Just installed PP on my V210...I'll let you know if it makes a difference next week. In terms of weight...I run a 600lb bag up front and a 350lb sac on either side of the engine. Sometimes I'll throw an extra 350 up front. Plenty for me but I know some guys go with about 1000+ up front and then put 500's on either side in the back. I find that even the unweighted wake is enough for me some days. I'm gettin' old...

btw: you're going to love owning a Sanger...I don't know anybody that's unhappy they bought one.

Yah im soo soo stoked on the purchase, i was considering a used 01 SAN, went to look at the new sanger and laughed.mid 30s OTD and i have a new boat only lacking the PPass.

PP is a must have, all you got to do it set it and drive straight,makes driving very easy, you will be very happy with itl

Yup, perfect pass is a must, the reality is you are the most experienced driver of your boat and so give the best tows, therefore when you are riding you always get the worst tow because you are not driving. My wife loves it too because all she has to do is steer, that in itself is worth 2 PP pro's.

For weighting we run a 700 pound sac in the floor + 550 pounds of lead under the bow seats and in the chain locker thingy. In the back I have 500 pound bags which we run 1/2 full most of the time. I'm in the process of making hard tanks for the rear which weight 350 pounds each full. The first one is installed and tested, it works great.

I bought a V210 last Oct and put PP on it was one of the best things I put on the boat. So no matter who is pulling you the speed and ride will be the same. As for weight I only use 400 lbs up front that seems to be good enough for me. I dont want to use up all my storage area just bring more people. The only prolbem that I have had so was a hesatation whe first moving from nutural to forward it felt like the motor wanted to die. It turned out that it is a bad ECM. Mercruiser enginers had to re-program one and send it to my dealer to replace. From what I have learned it is a prolbem with the 2003 350 mpi motor. Even with this prolbem I love my boat

Get the Perfect Pass!! I just put mine in this winter, and it is as everyone says, the best investment for your boat. It'a a marriage saver!! For ballast, I'm running the 700 pound Lets Go Ride locker sack, and 300 pounds of sand in the rear lockers. A lot of guys are running another sac or lead in the walk through. Loading up the front is the ticket on the V210.

You'll love your V210, I think you'll find all of us here that own them have pretty much all positive things to say.

Talk about a great purchase! I love V210's. The only one I rode behind had 500 on either side of the engine and a 500 up front. The wake was THICK and steep. I was to say the least impressed.

O yeah, as far as perfect pass... Worth it I guess, I use it 50 percent of the time, depending on rider ability. It sure does make a differnce in keeping speed, tho. I like PP on, kick back, turn my chair and just glance forward every now and then to make sure my riders getting a straight pull

Do the skylon tower speakers fit on the Pro Flight tower? just curious, looking at Boss speakers and the skylon. what size diameter is the pro flight tower? for the mounts of the speakers

This is what I am currently running in my V210. It could use about 400 more lbs in the middle of the boat. It was still light in the water believe it or not. I think with a full boat you wouldn't need it.

I always move the lead back over the axles when trailering the boat.

Go with a 6x9 solution, Kicker or something like it. For volume, you just cannot beat it. I am running a Loud Liquid enclosure with some custom connectors.

Man, if you are ever swamped, your boat is going down fast. On your boat you could probably support about 350 lbs lead without sinking, but 950 lbs is insane. Take care...

As for tower speakers - Loud Liquid - best sound for the $ on the market, IMHO.

We run a full size sack (400lbs) in the ski locker, a fat buddies on each side of the motor (250-300 lbs each), A full size sack in the walk way to the bow, and four 65lbs. engits of lead under the seats. But now we'll be swapping out one of the full sacks (in the walk way) and the lead with 600lbs of Pop Products bags.

Hey Holby, how steep is the wake with that setup? Does it get crusty on the lip? We have found we need to run a lot more weight forward than what you do to get it how we like it.

Holby seems a little light in the front. I run 700 lbs front and 700 lbs rear. I think I need more weight in the front. IMO

A little light in the front????? 500lbs under the front seat is an arse load of weight.

I run 500 each side of the motor, 400 in the locker and 350 under the bow cushions. Its percfect for me.

Sorry to mention more clearly folks, I ran that configuration and noticed I was still a little light. I would say closer to the ski locker with the additional weight (400-600 lbs) of fat sack. I am shocked (in a good way) at how much weitght that Sanger will handle comfortably. That boat still up and planes quickly.

Oh ok, thats about the same setup we run then with 700 in the locker & 500 under the seats. I don't like the wake with more than 350 in the rear lockers gets to lippy for my tastes. Might be better for the skate tho.

Where does the ballast dump, the bottom of the boat?
I only have the single center ballast tank, can I tie into that line and add sacks to the rear?

The ballast drains straight out of the bottom, back out through the scoop grate. You could "T" into the line going to your front bag to add some rear bags, it wouldn't be hard at all. It would take a little longer to fill/empty just using the one pump to fill multiple bags though. Or you could go big and put in additional pumps for the rear bags. Do a search for ballast systems on here, there's been some pretty good write ups.

Thanks ty-one one. Im goin to try and add a valve to the main center tank to fill the rear ballast. I will prob go with the stock center ballast, 2 300 pound sacks in the rear and maybe 200 more in front. How does that sound? love the wake with the tranny, just needs more height for the booters.

We ran 500 in the rear, the stock center ballast and a big sack in the bow and we couldnt get the wake to settle right.

Im getting perfect pass next week cuss it sucked without on my river, but i ride at about 75ft and the wake was only good at 60ft. CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT...anything would be great.

I love my Sanger, i just need some help with the wake etc for my needs, ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

i think any sanger owner can understand this, my neighbor has a new SAN, payed over 62k for it, i just smile as i cruise by with 36k boat.

You need to get more weight forward for sure. I run 1100-1200 in the front & 700 in the back.
The wake is super clean at 80 foot and more.

What speed are you riding at?

I like to ride at about 22-23
What kind of sack will fit in the bow? do you use a long skinny one for the walkway or just one accross the seats?

i plan on running your set up, do you have any problems taking on water at that weight?

You can get a 700 pound sac to replace the 400 pound for under the floor. I think it is a LGR bag. I use 500 pounds of lead under the bow seats to ge tthe rest up front. No the boat is pretty dry front and back.

i have the 350mag? do any of you guys have a hard time starting it, sometimes it takes a while to fire up?

20hr service is next week so im goin to see if there is a ecu or injector problem, plus i need another battery too for the stereo coming.

There is a bulletin about the battery size on that motor. I had to buy a bigger size, worked out perfect. Also about your weighting,.....What Darren said...UP FRONT!!!! The bow area is the tricky part, go get some lead from the local tire stores and melt it down. I tried every configuration and everyone kept telling me to weight upfront!~G

What size battery? brand? did you upgrade too?
