I've got an old 1995 Hydrodyne Elite which still runs great (<600hrs) and I just can't seem to justify a new used for instance 2005 Nautique (I'm goofy foot so 2006 Nautique is propped assed backwards like everything else out there for us lefties) anyway hate to drop $1K+ for the all singing all dancing PP WB model but was thinking of going for the cruise model. Little baffled by the (hyped ?) information on PP site which says they use the mph mode for slower speeds and rpm for higher speeds (at least that's how I read it.) However when I surf/wakeboard I'm always manually adjusting for rpm. So... does anyone out there have the 'cruise' model and does it work well at surfing speeds? Thanks

i have a cc 05 211 with wb pp... for wakesurfing- we run in rpm mode..

it seems to shape the wake better and increase the pocket pull. this becomes more evident when the water is choppy (mph mode will flucuate 1-2.5 mph)..

I have pp wkbd pro on my hydrodyne and it works perfectly for surfing it will hold speeds as low as 8 mph but we usually surf at 11.5 or 12
