The opening event of the 2007 Mid-Atlantic Wakeboard Series is this Saturday at Lake Anna. Registration starts promptly at 8:00 AM at shelter #3 and there are limited spaces, so don't be late. The entry fee is only $35, and you're guaranteed to walk away with more value in free gear than you paid to enter. The competition is divided into five categories; Grom (under 14), Ladies, Amateur, Inverted, and Outlaw.

Thanks to Southern Ski Boats, title sponsor and co-host of the Series, riders will get their session behind a brand new 2007 MB Sports Tomcat -- a $70,000 boat. We took it out on the Chickahominy River last week and this thing throws some amazing wake -- it's huge!

There are currently 7 dates in the 2007 Series, including competitions, clinics, and other festivals hosted on lakes and rivers in Virginia and North Carolina. You can always stay up-to-date on our events and other important dates by visiting our Events & Contests page.Upload

Is this the lake that is heated by cooling nuclear power plant? I rode there once. It was very cool. But the lake is a little shallow. Got to ride with some great riders.

the private side is heated by the reactor and the public side is not. Lots of talent at Anna..
