Mike, start with an easy edge that progressively gets harder through the top of the wake. You do not need to be that far out. Edge the board up through the TOP OF THE WAKE so that it flies up and around your body. The handle is your pivot point, so keep it in close to your front hip. The farther the handle gets from you, the slower your rotation will be. If coming up short, you are probably letting your edge off a bit early, trying to flip before you get to the top of the wake, and letting your handle get away from you. Fix these and you should have it. Good luck.
