I don't think there is one, some riders like lyman and watson are getting so off axis with their ole's that they look inverted like a crow. I can't really say much though because I can't do either..

Maybe someone who can do both can come in and explain the difference, I'm sure the difference is in the approach and when you hit the wake, I just don't know what that difference is

For an Ole, there is a distinctive "swoop" over the head with the handle.

If the feet go above the head it is a scarecrow. If the feet stay equal or below the head I would call it ole.

Alright since this is about the name of tricks I'm going to ask a few questions I've always wanted to know.
Im fairly new to wakeboarding so don't destroy me for sounded retarded.
Why does a heelside backroll look like a frontflip to me? haha
What do you call a tantrum with a frontside and or backside 3
I know a heelside backroll with a blind 3 is a KGB right?
and heelside backroll with front 3 is...?
and how about toeside now haha
backroll with front 3... pete rose? or is that only with the grab?
how about front roll with blind 3 and backroll with front 3?

If someone takes the time to answer all of those ill be impressed hahah

Adam, the heelside backroll that looks like a frontflip is called a mexican backroll. It is another way of doing a backroll where people essentially do a frontflip off the wake instead of tip over tail.
Tantrum with a backside 3 handle pass is a moby dick. Tantrum with a backside 3 rotated over head is a whirly bird. Tantrum with a frontside 3 is called a Beaver Eater.
Yes to the KGB question.
Heelside backroll with frontside 3 is a heelside mobe
Toeside backroll with a frontside 3 is called a pete rose, blind 3 is called a blind pete rose.
Front roll with a blind 3 is a dum dumn
Front roll with a front 3 is a crow mobe.

I'm with J-Rod on this one. It's more about that swoop than anything. Most peoples crowmobes aren't all that inverted and most ole's are pretty much on the same axis.
