Don't compare yourself to other people. As long as you're having fun, thats all thats important. But I'm 17 anyway. (Riding on and off since I was 10) (Message edited by kristian on June 16, 2003)

17, riding aboot two years now. age doesnt matter though, mean, what, with that froggy dude jumping around in the big leagues, any age is good. and kristian is right, fun is the biggest goal, if your not having fun riding, then whats the point? (then again, riding without fun is impossible) later days, Luke

I'm (ugh) 37. This is my 4th year riding, trying to keep up with all the 20-24 year olds in my crew. I've got no inverts but I kill them all with style. Big grabs and spins, grabbed spins. I've got a 1 1/2 year old son who is already working with the handle on the trampoline, so I can live through his glory soon enuf. Heeehee

I'm 31 and have been riding since I was 26. My daughter just learned this year and she's 8. I have a friend in his mid-50's and he's been riding for two years. My Dad, who is 60 says he is going to try to get up this summer. In other words, there are people all over the age spectrum.

I just met a lady today who was easily into her 70's and she told me all about how she was learning how to wakeboard last weekend. Crazy huh? She said she's been skiing forever and her grandkids convinced her to try it out. I'm 21.

25 and just started last summer and I'm hooked. The thing I like is the fact that there are people older than me who started at the same age. I was alittle worried that I might have started abit late. But I'm hooked now so hopefully I'll be waking till I'm old and grey.

29, just started a year ago. I have written off my golf on the weekends for wakeboarding. I am just now starting to get comfortable with edging and w2w. A long way to go, but hopefully I can get out enough to get better. I hope.

Ok, I'm 51 and I've been wakeboarding about 5 or so years. I have waterskied since I was about 13 (yes, they had powerboats back in 1965 !!!!). I don't do any inverts (at least not on purpose) but I do like to get lots of air, grabs, 180s, etc. My knees are still holding up well, despite lots of abuse over the years from various sports. Just started trying wakesurfing this summer....so much more fun stuff to do that they did not have back in 65.

Man, I really envy all you kids who start at 14/15 or earlier. Not that I'm really old or anything; I'm 21. I've been once-in-a-while for a couple of years and regular for a couple of months. -what I would give to go back and start riding at 15.

My wife and I are both 34, i've been riding for about 5 years, and she has been at it about 3. We have a 7 year old girl that skied for the first time when she was 2, and boarded for the first time last summer. she doesn't try every time we go out, i ask her if she wants to board or knee board and sometimes she will and sometimes she won't. I don't push her.

Coming up on 41 this Aug! Riding over 13 years now. Started on a Sano Board. A true foam surf board with footstraps. Back then there was no one to teach you how to get up or argue with over line-loading. The first couple of summers we only saw 2 or 3 other boarders total. I've seen quite a change, and it's only gotten to be more fun.

28 here, been riding for about 4 years...Well actually only 2 years worth of riding (took 2 years off with two separate ACL tears, but believe it neither were from boarding LOL)...But been out about 6 weekends so far, and no pain or discomfort, so looks to be a great summer!!!

My aunt is 50 and she goes with us every week and she rips it up and she has a great time. I really don't think it matters how old you are just as long as you have good music, good company and can feel the bass in the handle.
