Taylor is confused. Running two 4 ohm subs in series will give you 8 ohms. This is not good for your amps. You want to run them in parallel. This means, connect the two positive terminals to the same wire from the amp, and the two negative terminals to the other. This will provide a 2 ohm load for your amps, and you will get a lot more power to them.
