Hey I live on saltwater and my towerspeakers have taken a beating the last few years.... I wax them all the time, and always spray them off after every use.... but they still begin to pit in a few months.... so I am trying to think of a remedy, and I think the best thing to do would be to just take them inside everytime, but allen wrenches arnt fast and easy to undo everytime..... I heard rumors of a company coming out with quick relase clamps and I was jsut wondering if anyone has made them yet??

Also, if no one knows about quick relase clamps, how do you think speaker covers would hold out the salt??

If you are looking to get new speakers, take a look at Wetsounds. They have a quick release on all of their speakers. The mounts stay up there but the speakers just slide right off the mounts-very easy. You might want to consider some speakersox for covers as well. www.speakersox.com

Try this link:http://www.samsonsports.com/speakers.html

Sound better than they look, and that's hard to imagine. Clamping system doesn't get any easier for quick removal and customer service is the best.

I've looked at just about every speaker dis connect system, and the Samson setup is the cleanest and most versital out of all of them. I plan on buying a pair of double can setup this year.

If you have to buy new speakers anyways i wouldnt worry about taking them off. Just buy cans that are either anodized aluminum or fiberglass. Don't get anything that is chromed or polished and make sure you have marine speakers and they'll hold up perfectly fine

well my speakers are Fusion, and when I talked to them, they said they don't have quick release clamps..... but they are going to replace my speakers free. I jsut don't want this to happen again. Can you use Samson clamps with fusin speakers??

Check out www.wetsounds.com

I remove mine after every trip, takes about 2-3 minutes to take them off and carry them back to the. You only have to undo 2 3/4" nuts on each speaker, so it isn't that much extra work. They aren't snap on snap off, but you will never look back after owning a pair.

I have a pair of Samson Double 7's quick-release. It doesn't get much easier than these. Great company to work with also, I would recommend to anyone. http://samsonsports.com

To be honest, I would not want to take the clamp off of the tower, thus the best quick release in my opinion is the ones that disconnect where the clamp meets the speaker can.
