Kicker Speaker Construction

Anyone having problems with their tower mount Kicker speakers? My perforated covers fell off and the screw heads are rusting. Bought them with my new 2003 Wakesetter.

Most of the tower mount kickers have the same problems since they are not marine speakers and most fail to upgrade to stainless screws over the regular ones that come with the speakers. The components are usually better but the coaxials have been known to have problems with water entering the midbass driver and rusting them out. I have seen many rusted screws like that at the marina i work for...

I haven't had problems but I only had mine on the boat for the last month of last year's season. I took them down and stored them for the winter. I did have a problem with one of my midbass speakers in that it came to me DOA, but Titan more than stepped up and had it fixed and back to me within a week. I only wish they would've given me more than 3" of speaker wire sticking out the the top. It doesn't give you a whole lot of room to work with once you put the terminals on.
