Vandall's new WBM cover....

in my opinion the best cover that WBM has ever had, huge, perfect method, crisp clear shot, snowy mountains in the background and its the Vandall, how could you make it any better?

when I look at other sports, skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing ect... magazines the best shot in the mag gets the cover, unlike WBM, it seems like what ever company is giving them the most money that board/rider gets the cover, so maybe once a year we get to see a great cover shot, lately its been better

but this shot of the Vandall is by far the best shot in the issue and the best cover shot to date, what do you think?

does it get any better than this at this stage, I think not, props to the Vandall for killing it, like always, I see another rider of the year and video part here, spencer smith for a sick shot and WBM for finally running the good stuff up front.....

Huge congrats to Spencer. He's making a name for himself quickly. You can see the guys mind working when he shoots. He's got the eye. He's also every where.

I agree with J-Rod Spencer is a incredible Photographer. Congrats to Spencer for the great cover shot.

Spencer is awesome! And I love the shot, I am gonna say its a tie for the best with last month nick taylor shot. That one was such a great picture!

I spoke with kevco at Wakegames and he was so happy (almost giddy) about that cover. Well, that and the fact that he rode so well! Great job Big Spence!

I think that the last few issues have been much better and I liked WBM from the get go. Seems like the shots have been better and the page layouts. I agree with the cover, every time I see a Vandall pic, I am reminded of how glad I am that he is back and that he has his priorities in order.

what wasnt good about it, you couldnt do a more perfect method, its huge, great crisp clear pic with a background you could only get here on the westcoast

big stylish and unique in everyway, not that good really are you serious

guess everyone entitled to thier opinion no matter how crazy it is

I wouldnt call that the "perfect" method, im entitled to my own opinion on how methods should look.

I think the shot is just a good shot. I dont see how its the best cover ever though. Does the photo seem a little zoomed in? I saw transgression and The Randall goes so huge, I think it would have been cooler zoomed out to show more of how big he's really going. and the photo seems flat in color

good photo, just not "the best" cover ever. Just because its the best shot in a issue doesnt mean its the best cover shot ever.

were else but the west coast can you find scenery like that ? I guess him being a 5 feet above the tower doesnt show how big is is going....

I agree that is a great shot, and I also really enjoyed the cover shot of Harf a couple issues back. WBM is all around stepping up their game lately IMO.

love when theres a cover shot for a reason. You know the rider has a story along with it. Maybe that's why Im not for the "best" shot. But youre right, for sure west coast pic and he's going huge.

Yea I agree, WBM is not well written. Surfer and Surfing have much better articles. WBM needs to get more grassroots and less focus on just the pros, get into the lifestyle.

This was definitely a dirty cover but I think they should have done the pic from the boat....after all it was supposed to be a duplicate of the shot that Vandall did years ago so it should have been from the same angle.

my opinion is that Randall has showed the wakeboard world, once again, EXACTLY what a method grab is supposed to be. textbook example!

Oh, is that really what they were going for?

BTW....you shouldn't judge the clarity of a photo, or colors for that matter from your monitor, where EVERYTHING is low res.

The image that Chris Johnson posted looks pretty spot on compared to what WBM has on their website (here). But I'm not sure how accurate that is to the print version since my copy is at home and I'm at work. Perhaps it's from his digital delivery subscription?

Either way, good stuff Spence! Definitely a dope cover shot and for me it's right up there with Nick Taylor's cover as my favorite WBM covers in a long time.
