i dont have one or know anything about them. But from previous posts, the older nautiques have good wakes when properly weighted. I normally hear like 1000lbs in the back and 700 up front or something like that. I am sure someone else here has one and knows what they are talking about.

82-89 nautiques are the 2001 series and one of the best wakes you will find. anywhere.

I back that 882001. We just bought our 86 ski nautique. The hull shape is the same from 82 through 89, so you will get the same wake out of all of them. We run about 1300 to 1400 pounds in it. With the 2001's you dont need to much weight towards the back. We run 600 in the back, 300 on each side, and 200 in the bow. The wake is very solid and sometimes over knee high. Alot of people compare it to a super air nautique. It is a little bit on the narrow side, but I ride pretty far back anyways. The wake behind this boat will buck you strait up. Its a much different feeling then riding behind like a malibu or an x-star. Everybody that has ridden behind my boat has had only good things to say about the wake.
