Well, I took the pylon off of my 83 2001. I've heard that either it comes off easy or it doesn't come off at all. Here's how I did it. 1. Spray liquid wrench around the ring. (use a rag to catch the overspray). 2. Wait a day. 3. Repeat step one. 4. Wait another day. 5. Drive both pins all of the way out. I used a 1/4" drift punch if I remember right. 6. I took a 3 foot oak dowel that I had laying around and put it through the ring and gave it a good twist. I twisted it and lifted at the same time. Mine turned easy. If it doesnt move then you might have to cut it off. Mark
