Ballast pump help

Does anyone have experience with this pump?

Do you think it would work well enough to fill a 650# sack?

Yes, I bought one on ebay for $14 to fill my 250 lbs. sacs while my tsunami filled the larger ones. However, at that price for another $50 you could get a tsunami pump and cut you down time in half.

Thats not a bad deal for a 750gph pump. I have the 1200gph pumps on EBay for $35 shipped. (nice cheap price). For another $20 you could build a faster pump.

According to my math it would take 5.76 minutes to fill a 600# sack at 750GPH. That seems fairly quick. Should I expect this type of performance from this pump?

The advertised gph specs on pumps are with no hoses attached, and zero lift. The performance drops as the lift height and hose length increases. You're going to have 2-3 ft of lift minimum to get up and over the gunwales. I remember it taking about 10 min for a 750 to fill a 600 lb sack.

It takes my Tsunami 1200's about 5 min to fill a 750 lb, and that's with less lift because they're in a built-in system (but a little more hose length). You can get them from basspro.com for $37 brand new (with the elbow fitting and uncut wires / base fitting).
