Well, here we go, the kids went out riding with Melissa Marquardt today so they got some great coaching (thanks Melissa!) We fly out of San Diego tomorrow morning. Jacob hits the water at 9:00 am on Thursday, and Eddies division rides after that. If everybody could keep AJ Racinelli in their prayers, he hit the slider at the OWC and had to have 20 stitches in his face. (thank God for his helmet or it would have been alot worse) He is riding Thursday but is sure to be leary, so if everybody could just hold up this tough little kid that would be great! He has worked so hard!!) And if you could mention Team Valdez in your prayers, that would be great as well. It is just me and the boys this time. thanks wakeworld!! (Hey Wakeworld Dave, we have all the stickers packed) Orlando is going to be plastered in Wakeworld stickers!!!

I'm flying out tomorrow also. What time is your flight? I'm going thru LA and I leave SD at 6:20AM.

I hope your boys do well!

Team Valdez~ Wishing ya'll good luck and prayer's to boot!
A buzz out for TEAM TEXAS!!! Representing the 3rd Coast Riders and The Dirty South; Masters Division: Billy Garcia go for the GOLD! 2nd at Nationals was good, stand it up for a 1st at Worlds. Veterans: Pat McElhinney, 1st at Nationals, bring it back home again with a 1st in WORLDS,(teach)
I wish sliders were not a part of wakeboarding...period!!!, it's just too dangerous, even with a helmet on, too many people are getting hurt, good God, what does it take, a death???

Denise

wakeboarding is an extreme sport
if u don't want to get hurt on a slider
don't use them

Well any good mother wants their sons to be protected! I would agree that the younger boys maybe shouldn't be hitting sliders. They may not know their limits yet.

Good Morning!!
Bill, I didn't see your post till last night, how did you do?? We took off at 6:30 out of San Diego with a layover in Cincinatti then on to Orlando arriving at 6:20 (looong day) how did you do at the contest??
And what was our first stop?? (after the rental car that is?) the boys had to eat at Hooters (ok, so I wanted to go too. but honestly? it is way overrated) LOL!

Paula, thanks for the good thoughts girlfriend, hey are you going out to Parker for the CLWC contest?? Hope to see you there!

Jake, wish I would have driven out there on Sunday, was suppossed to fly out at 7:00am on Sunday and missed the flippin plane, wound up catching one at 1:00 ( I hate airports sometimes!!) Looking forward to hitting one of your contests in the future!! looks like we missed out!!

Denise, you are such a doll, you encourage me all the time, thank you. As far as the sliders go, one of our team members AJ Racinelli, hit the sliders (literally) two days before he was riding in the boys division. He fell on the tabletop at cable park and needed 20 stitches in his noggin. It would have been so much worse if he didn't have his helmet on. Sliders are fun to watch though I have to say and any riders I talk to (including the ones I gave birth to) just love them. AJ took the stitches in stride and rode no problem at Worlds.
Thanks for all of your encouragement!! Hugs, robyn
