dont really want to spend 650 on a wakeboard. What else rides like the marek? 3ds? coming from a trancend which is too slow, I want somthing fast, while still being poppy.

anyone got a blem marek 141?

The problem is that the Marek is an 09. If you want something that stiff and light at a decent price consider the Byerly Monarch (08). It is mellower. M2sports.com still has a few.

Or the 2008 Dark Core Chad Sharp pro model CSV1: I know a guy who has a few, cheap--PM me.

Justin,whats up bro?

Similar yet cheaper boards you should check out:
2008 Ronix Covin
2008 Ronix CSV1
2009 Ronix Viva
2008 Hyperlite Pulse (The 3ds)
2009 Hyperlite Clash (The 3ds)

Personally I'd say start with the Viva.

Bill the V2 cores are improved over the V1. But the V1 cores are still impressive.

I went from the Premier to the Covin last summer. I loved the difference it made for my riding. The speed the board has is faster than any board I've ridden previously, and the continuous rocker allows for a consistent pop at the wake. The ability to cut harder and faster, while maintaining a predictable pop at the wake has added lots of amplitude to my jumps. Also, if you look at the cost, the Covin was only an 07 and 08 model, so you'd be able to pick one up fairly inexpensively.

If you get a chance, check out the Covin. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Happy hunting!

i was actually torn between the marek and the murray, but those that i talked to kept telling me the marek bucks more.

thanks for the input gives me a bunch of stuff to try. I really do like that marek. almost wish I had not tried it. lol. it has all the pop of a mad 3 stage, but very fast and light on the water. Also, way easy to break loose for surface tricks which I like.

pm's being sent

From the 09 catalog:
The Clash is a hard-edging continuous carver. It features a mellow intial turn that sets harder in the water once on rail. The Clash is designed with an abrupt, continuous rocker line that make the board smooth and predictable, but gives that extra pop an aggressive rider looks for. This years Clash series also utilizes an Enduro base and four .8" Poly A-wing fins for maximum durability on and off the cable.

In the book Citizen Soldiers a paratrooper in training is killed when his parachute fails to open. One of his fellow paratroopers asks for the gloves he wore while jumping. When asked why he wanted the gloves a man died in, he replies something to the effect of, "I figure they've had all the bad luck they can have. They'll see me through the war."

Sorry for the hijack, but I don't think anyone should worry about buying Riley's Marek, all the bad luck is already used up.
