I would also have to vouch for the Pulldozer, I went with something else but some other friends got the dozer and it is by far built stronger and better design.

How much HP does the pulldozer have?

You can get it with 6.5hp or 8hp

if you're in northern california, definitely go with the pulldozer. Shipping is effing ridiculous for winches and pulldozer is based in nor cal so you might be able to pick it up. Besides that they build a great winch.

The Pulldozer and Grinch are both great winches; I've ridden both. I think I like the Pulldozer better. IMO; if you want something above and beyond the rest, I would go with Released Winch Co. Released custom built the winch below for us: it weighs less than 100 lbs and has 9 HP.

Damn I almost forgot about released I don't know anyone w/ the new winch they make but I know quite a few people w/ the old winches they made and they're pretty sweet and definitely light. Like Ken stated in a previous post one of the best things about the released winch besides the releasing spool is the fact that it's a 6.5hp engine w/ the racing mod to up the hp to 9hp w/o the weight of a 9hp motor

You can get the pictured winch below for around $1500. It has an aluminum frame, disengaging spool, 6.5hp Honda, and TAV.. I believe this winch weighs about 80 lbs: it was made for the Nike 6 winch team in Florida.

You can contact John at Released Winch Co for more info 813-966-1125

Ken,
There are some serious build flaws with that particular one. Or I guess quality control problems I should say.
