I haven't seen the Transgression DVD, but was surfing YouTube yesterday (NOT AT WORK ) and came across this. I'm 95 percent sure its his section from the movie, but all i have to say is its amazing, the music's atmosphere coupled with the vibe of excitement you get from his riding was just awesome. Of all the video sections I've seen, this really made me think to why i enjoy wakeboarding as much as i do. Enjoy!!

That is a great section. You can see how much he missed the water at one point when he looks up at the camera. I'm so glad he is back and riding better than ever.

Lidberg's session is on YouTube too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrtIhSmdoUw&feature=related
He is about as good as you can be on rails without having the last name Bonifay.

man, you really need to buy transgression, it is a super sick movie. some people say its a little slow, but the more you watch it the more you notice how good the editing is.

and randalls second section is so much better, but his first is just inspiring though
Old     (da_kamp)      Join Date: Jan 2008       06-28-2008, 7:43 PM Reply
yea the more you watch it the more you realize how beautifull Vandalls segment at the end is. The music, the footy everything.

Cant wait to see him in drive.

and gator seriously needs to give that guy some triple concave on that board already !!!! he buckles waaaayyy too much on those landings to be safe

Man, Harris's section was nuts in that movie. Easily one of the best video sections of any wake vid that I've ever seen, which isn't actually that many, but still. I stand by that statement.

OH MY GOD. I now have a new favorite rider an idol. I don't know his full story but to come back after over 2 years and ride like that just can't be put into words. Randall is my new hero.

**Goes to buy Transgression***

I was skeptical of all the Randall posts on wakeworld and stuff and how they did the whole randall harris chuck norris contest here on WW. BUT when I saw his section............. WOW! Just amazing!!! The music is unbelievable. Manchester Orchestra is all I listen to now.... His second section in transgression is just out of this WORLD!!! BUY IT!

of randals earlier work. but you should go check out his earlier work.. the
man is a legend... mayday and my house are definitely worth checking out

transgression, randalls part is the sickest! but that is t only his intro into the movie. his real part is at the end of the movie closin it all out, and that is where it all goes down!! h/s frontflip wake 2x2 wake

Amazing. I've watched the Transgression clip like 3 times since it was posted and it is super moving.

If you are going back to watch Randall's earlier stuff, watch Natural Born Thrillaz. His section made me change my thinking on what was possible on a wakeboard. He is riding really well these days.

Go buy the DVD, it's absolutely sick! And a lot of the 2nd link was shot at my home lake here in Idaho, maybe now we'll get some recognition.

"If you are going back to watch Randall's earlier stuff, watch Natural Born Thrillaz"

Randall's Section in Natural Born Thrillaz was about 200x better than his section in Transgression, and his section in transgression was pretty cool.
Old     (juniorhawk)      Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: New England       06-30-2008, 3:24 PM Reply
200x!

WOW.

ZOMG how did you calculate that Prof?
Old     (hawk7)      Join Date: Apr 2007       06-30-2008, 4:00 PM Reply
If I remember the movie well enough,...

the camera angles
Randall Harris in his prime
X That Massive Frontside 180
200x better than Transgression

I was just exagerating, but I think NBT is better than Transgression, obviously you disagree?
Old     (intotheflats)      Join Date: Oct 2006       06-30-2008, 4:23 PM Reply
There are a few parts that are better in NBT, but I don't know how you can say Randall Harris isn't in his prime right now.
Overall NBT just has a different feel than Transgression, both equally as crazy.
Old     (intotheflats)      Join Date: Oct 2006       06-30-2008, 4:26 PM Reply
NBT was done by Ronn at Sidewayz also, so I guess you could kinda say Transgression has more of a evolved feel from NBT

What was the video where he was riding in a jacket to Cat Stevens' song "The Wind"? Maybe not his best riding ever but the combo of the angle and that song were just incredible.
Old     (intotheflats)      Join Date: Oct 2006       06-30-2008, 5:01 PM Reply
I think it was Such is Life, Maybe, I can't remember I know exactly what section your talking about, just can't remember the video.
Definitely a Sidewayz video, kinda same style as Transgression

yea, after buying transgression i hated it at first...i was like man this is crazy slow...but after REALLY watching it you realize its beauty...its simply amazing and the music is awesome. manchester orchestra is a brilliant band and im glad i bought transgression just to find them out!

Wait until you see his section in Drive....it will blow you away. We were at the premiere in
Seattle, got to meet him- nicest guy- very cool. Answered all of our stupid noobie questions without looking bored. We loved it.

Check it! Sickest method of all time!

That link didn't take you to the right video. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2151400495731013701
The method is about 33 seconds in. When you watch this, keep in mind when it was filmed, he grabs just about every trick in the section.
Old     (mike2001)      Join Date: Feb 2008       07-02-2008, 9:39 AM Reply
glad they slowed down the frames on that method to appreciate how huge it was
Old     (jarrod)      Join Date: May 2003       07-02-2008, 9:48 AM Reply
NBT + Vandall is still the sickest video session of all time. That method, and the Crow / Skeezer combo into the flats.
Old     (krazywake)      Join Date: Oct 2007       07-03-2008, 4:00 AM Reply
hey guys,

I have a small section of randall in the last PWT stop out here in phoenix. Check out my highlight video on http://www.krazywake.com to see it and lemme know what you think. Randall's style is almost hard to capture on film because you want tight shots to show the technicality of his wrapped/grabbed inverts, but at the same time, you want to be pulled back to show how BIG he goes. He really just needs two cameras on him at all time. haha.

That method in NBT is ridiculous.

Thanks David, yeah that was Raimi Merritt on Friday during a pre-press practice session. She came so close to landing on her head that when we all saw it in realtime we thought she snapped her neck and we hauled ass back to her. She took about 30 seconds to compose herself and got back up and finished her set. An inspiration to all of us. haha.
