Hey all ya'll. Im not sure if i should change up the rails for you. Here is what we had last year. The first event is coming up july 19th and 20th. I like the step up, and Im pretty sure it is staying. but what should i do with the a frame? keep it? make it bigger? change it? should i substitute the kicker for another rail? im open for what ever...but i gotta build soon.

Maybe a bank off the side of the up portion of the A-frame?

wall ride would be sick. deffinately get rid of the kicker. i think the A-frame should be steeper on the inclines so you can gap it higher

No kicker, wall ride would be good replacement. Maybe the wall could go almost vert at the very top so you could put it on the side of the pool and not have to worry about riders going over the top, or like a quarter pipe with coping so we can rock and roll railslide. If the a-frame is any steeper you will clear the whole rail too easy. Take CRASH up on the help, it's always needed. Sucks there's numerous events these weekends but I have been to all of the Spankys in the past and their always the fun.

i would love to do a wall ride but it is not feasable. If i had a full day or two to build it on site then we could do it, but thats too much material and building. so...how about RAILS? give me some suggestions on shapes of rails (flat bars, a frames, step ups...).

http://youtube.com/watch?v=r8aTCHxaqp4 smaller version of the rail at 0:43? Maybe a roller coaster rail? bigger than this one of course. I think the skaters and the boarders could do some cool stuff off it. http://www.riptube.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=video.play&id=2757 Let me know if you need help building, i got all my own tools.

Hey, Just thought I'd float this past you, it's a little complicated and I'm not sure it will work the way I want it to, but if it did that'd be sick. follow the link: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=76850494d818d2a272d3ae2a0df9d713&prevs tart=0

so here is what i think im gonna do... -the step up from yester-year. -20' incline, double wide, 8" ollie on to 24" drop off (for the skater's, mainly). -36'-36' incline-decline with a 18" ollie on. Im not ruling out the incline-to-angle-transfer...but we'll see how much time those others take to pre-build. Im gonna do the pre-build next week, probably wednesday, starting at 5pm. anyone is welcome to come help (FREE BEER!). Hit me up if you can help and need directions. All material is already accounted for, and these should only take a few hours to pre-build with a good team. All the rails will have wood sides this year, and I would love it if some sray paint artists want to go loco on the skirting. Give your buddies my contact info if they are interested. Thanks for all the help, and im really looking forward to a sick event with sick rails and sick riding with sick riders! Thanks again! Al

the up-down will go from 18" off the water to 42" off the water, then back down...very mellow. since the thing will be 72' long there should be some sick/stylely stuff. i have enough "lego" pieces to put another flat bar in the water, too. we'll see how much room these all take...
