For the first time that I know of, there are still permits left after the application deadline expired. I think even non-residents would have a good chance of getting one.

I think there are 10 left. Residents have priority over non-residents, so if you live in Westminster, Thornton or Northglenn, there's still time to get one.

I have a feeling it's going to be an interesting year on that lake with all the new non residents...
Last I heard they had only given out 350+ applications

I counted 540. They sell a maximum of 550.
From their website:

"The 2009 power boat lottery has been completed. Everyone who applied for the lottery was successful. As of February 26th a very limited number of permits were left. Starting at 9:00am, Friday, February 27th, at the Standley Lake Nature Center, those permits will be sold to residents and non-residents on a first-come, first-served basis until sold."

It might be too late already.

They just need to get them sold for the money. I heard they tried to make the incubation period 30 days, but ended up with 15, whihc is still far too long

The access road is now paved! Woohoo! I $*#)# hated driving my clean rig down that damn dirt road. Now they need to pave the parking lot.

The invasive species inspection sounds like it's going to be a royal PITA.

Yes they are. Makes trips to Glendoe hurt pretty bad, since you basically miss half a month with your boat incubating...
