I bought my first wakeboard a couple weeks ago and have yet to get out on it but the reason I'm putting up this post is the length of the board I bought... it's the O'brien science 143... I weigh somewhere around 160 give or take... my friends all ride mid to upper 30's... just curious if this is gonna be too much for me... (remember I am a beginnner) so lemme know what you think...

I love riding bigger boards... they ride a lot smoother and less hitchey. Realistically, I don't think you sacrifice anything by riding a bigger board - I went from riding a Liquid Force Fish 129 to a Substance 142, and had to adjust nothing. The 142 just felt way smoother, and I had to work WAY less hard on it. The flow on a longer board is super fun

Bigger = Better. You know it's true.

129-142... doesn't get much bigger of a change than that!

I just went from 138-139 from the Player-Natural....
