OK final decision time. I am looking at a 2006 x30 for $49K or a 2007 malibu 23lsv ordered this winter. I know both boats will go up 7 - 8% for 2007. Will the MC be a better purchase even if we have payments throughout the winter. I know the resale on the MC is quite good.
We have two kids 10 & 4, we spend alot of time wakeboarding and also anchored and swimming.
So the money question is: which boat is the best choice.
We drove both boats and still are having a hard time deceiding.

That is a smoking good price on the X-30. Personally I like the Malibu 23LSV better. But for $49K I would be able to over look some things I didn't like about the X-30 and get the MC.

Thanks for the infor Coach.
I made a mistake on the price.
It is actually $59K, does that change your opinion?
What do you like about the lsv over the x30?

That is still a good price, but for that price I know I could do a 07 LSV with Power Wedge, 340 HP engine, and a few other items for $63K. For that price difference I would go with the LSV. I thought it handled better when I demo the X-30 and 23 LSV. The MC had more freeboard and the seat were deeper. But I didn't like how the X-30 handled rough water and it had a bad left hand pull. I had to keep on hand on the wheel at all times turning it to the right. As for the Malibu it was very easy to drive and much more comfortable. The Malibu ballast system is much better than the MC as well. The MC you need to idle and fill and drain and there are some problems with the stock impelers. Overall the MC system needs some tweeking (all info per the dealer). The wedge is nice. I was also able to work it out to get the Malibu without the front ballast tank and make it a walk through bow. I am not that hard core of a boarder and if I want ballast in the bow I would get bags for under the bow seats and plumb lines in. Overall I would pick the boat that I can customize more if you are having a hard time between them.
