A friend of mine called me this morning and he came across our 1st Ski boat a '89 Mastercraft Tristar 190 on craigslist http://columbia.craigslist.org/boa/1342919382.html We had some great times behind this one, we got it new in the spring of 1990 and kept it for 6 years and I sold it for a '96 Prostar 205 that I kept until 2007 when I got our current '07 Malibu VLX.... I sold the Prostar and came across the 2nd owner since I sold it here on Wakeworld. It is a small world, he was asking about re-proping it.... Just curious... That Tristar was a solid boat and I know that there are some Tristar guys here that might be interested

I think my old '01 SAN is out in the midwest somewhere, it was for sale last year, for several K more than I sold it for 5 years ago. Lots of great memories on that boat. Never see my '03 SANTE, which was sold locally, I don't think the new user ever takes it out, just sitting in a garage somewhere.

My old boat was bought locally by a guy in Monterey Califorina and i haven't seen it once since I sold it! My first boat ended up in Morgan Hill and is a sad situation because its sitting in a field neglected and uncovered!

I saw my old 87 Nautique out on Lake Washington for Seafair. My old 2003 Cal Air is on Lake Sammamish. I think my 2000 Moomba Mob V ended up in Cali.

I sold my 94 205 to a local guy. His kids used it for tubing on our local lake for a year or so. Then a friend called me & said he saw it for sale with a blown engine for the same price I sold it. That engine only had about 700 hrs on it when I sold it so I suspect he didn't winterize it or something smart.

The guy I bought my 96 Prostar 190 from came back to me 4 years later and offered me a trade (plus $10K from me) for his 2001 209. We still have both boats

Get this, I was driving home from the lake last weekend and saw my old boat on the side of the highway with a wheel missing on the trailer...I stopped and took a pic next to it. Brought back a ton of memories...

It does bring back a lot of memories... It was hard to get rid of the old boats, but then to start everything over again in a New one with nicer features is always nice... I do not know how I did it for 2 boats and 17 years without a Bimini, but I will not own a boat now without one since getting one with my Malibu

My 96 Sunsetter was bought six years ago by a military pilot. It sat in a field during a couple Iraqi tours. Last time I saw it a year ago it was looking very rough. A friend of mine has a response - same year. His looks like it just came from a new boat showroom...

Our '77 trihull is just a couple miles south living with a fisherman. We just saw him out at the lake about a month ago (we were doing some surfing on a hot Saturday). I think it might have been his first time taking the family out because when they pulled the boat out the tube's rope was all tangled in the prop- they hadn't even noticed! I don't even know how you couldn't notice.

I saw my Sanger for sale on Craigslist about 2 years ago. Never seen it on the water. I've never seen or heard of what happened with my X2.

sold my 06 sanger v215 to a guy in arizona. he was so pumped on it, he flew out to test drive it and was in love with it when he first opened the storage unit door. 1 year later he had a new account on ww with 1 post in the boats for sale section and that was the last i saw or heard of her. the funny part was it had almost the same hrs on it when he tried to re-sale it. bummer;(

My old I/O is somewhere here in East TN, it was sold to someone as a project boat and they're still working on it if I'm not mistaken.

When I had people looking at my I/O I wanted it to go to someone who would take good care of it. I kept it in my garage and it still looked brand new after five years. Found what I thought was a good buyer for it. Wanted it to go to someone who would take care of it. I almost didn't sell it to the guy when I found out it was going to be stored outside in Arizona. It was really hard to let it go even though I had a newer much nicer boat on the way. I will see the old one in a month when I go out to the river.

The guy that purchased my 95 Supra was having it shipped to Australia. He was able to purchase a number of boats here in the US (cheap) this year and ship them over to resell.

Got a call from a second owner dowstream from the one I sold it to. Wanted to know how I weighted it and said he loved the boat and bought it for about $3-4K less than what I sold it for just six months before. Said the owner I sold it to really trashed the interior and traded it for a new X-star. The guy tells me he rolls out in the new X-star and called the dealership all hot and says WTF is wrong with my new boat it just stopped running....turns out it was out of gas. What a tool.

My old boat is still on the same lake I kept it on outside of Halifax, Nova Scotia. It's the 16' Sidewinder on the left in the pic. Gotta love the "dock" and description of the boat for sale on the right of the picture! ;) Here's the ad: http://halifax.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-boats-watercraft-powerboats-motorboats-14-foot-firberglass-speed-boat-70-hp-W0QQAdIdZ153110595 "hello i have a... 14ft fiberglass speedboat that i am selling just replaced stern 2 years ago, floor this year, new seats a couple months ago tinted plexiglass windshild, blue outdoor carpet, no batt, no fuel tank, comes with controls for and with 70 HP Chrysler Outboard. 3cycl, FLYS!!!!!!!!!!!! boat goes 37Mph with 17" prop but i am keeping it i have a 15" that i will give with it but i would go 19" cause this boat has too much take off power! only has cable steering but nothing a nice telfelx cable wouldnt fix, boat is silly powerful, would recomened experienced drivers. small boat low on the water. motor works really good i hate to sell it but i need money so it has to go. this boat launchs out of the water bigtime! 1600$OBO 65HP Merc in the pic took it off cuz it was SLOWWW (RED ONE ON THE RIGHT)" Anyway, the old Sidewinder was fun for bombing around in, but it definitely didn't pull like my Mastercraft does!

Wow, antiques! We do that on our fixed dock in the spring so the high water won't float the dock away.

I had the guy who I sold a boat to 5 years ago call me up and ask me where the title was! When I sold it to him, he lived in Arizona, and he says that they did not require him to have a title, so he does not recall where it went. He moved back to Utah and could not find the title. I reassured him that I gave it to him and did not have it any longer. A few months later, I saw it in some local classifieds with just 50 hours more on the engine than when I had sold it to him 5 years before.

I'll bet my boat and boards that Tim White is sorry EVERYONE knows where his "old" boat is!! lol I would have stripped any/all identifying marks before selling to that Douchebag!!!!!!! If it is indeed true that bad publicity is still good publicity then WS is GOLDEN.
