Ya you all know I like trying different boards. While up at shasta I was on my old substance and the landings in the flats were just killing me. I tried a 05 murry. It landed much softer and was faster than the substance or any other board I have ridden. I am wondering if any one else thinks that cont boards land softer. Also I think you can come in with a harder edge and not
get kicked off balance like on a 3 stage.

Yes continuous boards are typically Faster and Land softer! You hit the nail on the head. As far as getting "kicked off balance" on a 3 stage... thats why the general rule is that beginners should ride a continuous board for its predictability.
