Hi,
Our family recently purchased a skylon POD pole. We are wanting to install it before the season starts but are wondering how difficult they are to install. We have went to a few boat dealers in town and they talked about having to do fiberglass work and such to install the pole. Are they really that hard to install? and how long should it take to install? We have a 96 glasstron outboard. I thought with this style of pole all that was nessisary was to drill a few holes in the floor and a few more on the sides for the side supports, seal it and it would be done (simplified version, i know its not quite that easy). We are new to the scene and some may think this question is dumb... but we need some help.

I installed mine in about 1/2 hr. No big deal. make sure you get the lag screws that are NOT supplied. They should tell you that on the box.
