My wife was concerned that our youngest would get bounced right off of the trampoline, so she ordered a safety net for it.

So I'm out back jumping on the trampoline with the boy yesterday. I go out the back on a back flip, and the net does save me, but the little toe gets caught and damn near gets ripped off . Underneath side is like hamburger meat, big gash under the joint. If it weren't for the bones there, I would only have 4 toes on that foot now.

Now I'm limping around, trying to guess if it would be o.k. to ride with the toe like this, or if I should give it a little time. Stupid net. Next time I'm wearin' tennis shoes.

Jeff,

Ouch!!!!!!!

My guess as if you can stand it, go for it, but man I hate to have cuts or sores on my feet when I board. It's hard to get them out of your mind, you can always feel it, plus they never seem to heal. On the healing part it would be better to stay out of the water obviously. That is what I would do unless I had a big fun event to board in.....hint. LOL

Did you have it looked at by a doctor? Maybe some stitches are going to be needed and if so might be out by the 20th.

i'd take that bad boy to a doctor, get it cleaned well and get stitches or glued.

Nurse looked at it, thers no way to stitch there (under the joint). It's not bleeding, the only thing to do is wait...guess I'll just have to wait and see. I hate when this happens.
