Haha, thats my local malibu dealer. We haven't had the best experience with them.

I didn't even know they made a 25LSV in 2001. And apparently the new 25LSV has a pretty crappy wake (diamond hull), so I'd imagine the old one is similar. Unless you have a huge family, I'd stay away from that gas eater.

Yea Jeff, when we bought our 2001 response, I remember reading the 2001 Malibu Brochure and drooling over the 25 footer because it had like a 450 HP engine. Then I realized that gas costs money and wakeboarding is more fun behind small boats.

If you look at the picture of the engine it is clearly a monsoon engine and not the bigger 8.1 litre. Very interesting!!

how come MC didn't give the 205v/X-Star wrap around seating until 2000 if the maristar had it in 1996?
