flex board?

First off I got a 08 dhv1 that I bought heavily discounted last sept. super light board, decent pop, not the fastest. Is it worth changing to a severence or response? here in NY there are no demo boards so I gotta just research and roll the dice. Getting back to ronix the new boards are all different design than the 08s. 010 one, viva, and mana look good too but everyone is hyping up the flex. I just ride behind boat, no cable er rails
