I am new to wakeboarding. I grew up on a salom ski and now my girlfriend has converted me! I just bought an '02 belmont 136 board with 6 stock fins. It seems real loose. What could I do to tighten it up. I know that it will never cut as hard as a salom ski, but can you get it close?

get some bigger fins that will sit deeper in the water.

When you get a little better try switching to the smaller fins cause you will want more pop off the wake. i think the belmont comes with 1" fins.

I run 4 fins on that board, but i like it nice and loose. I don't that board will get any tighter than the stock set-up. Unless you got all six the size of the middle fin. At that piont I don't think the board would release off the wake to well.

Here's somthing you can try. That board comes stock with two 1.1 centre fins and four 0.7 side fins. Take the fins off,put the 1.1's on the side fin position with a 0.7 in the middle. If you feel that is an improvement but still want more edge try getting a deeper fin for the center slot. If you get an after market fin not from hyperlite you'll need to buy some new bolts from cdifins to make them work.

Robert,

I would check this site out. . . http://www.cdifins.com/

I have their fins on two of my boards and love them. When I was looking, I emailed them and they were extremely helpful and responsive.
Good luck
