Best boat for the money?

I am currently looking to buy a wakeboarding boat for expert riders. Unfortunatly, i can not afford a brand new x star or anything close to that category. My budget is around 20 grand, give or take a little, and I'm not sure what to do with it. I've heard 97 malibu response or wakesetter might be the way to go, however, i could use a little direction.
