Quick question... Anyone have some oneill superfreaks that have gone from a size 34 as listed on the tag to a +/- 36, I had mine for about a season before they became unwearable (they got way to loose). They are my fav pair too.

Just wondering if anyone else had the problem or if these are prone to substantial streching as they wear. If any oneill guys can chime in or oniell riders. I tried on a pair of new 34's and they fit just loose enough to look right... tried on a 32... and way to tight (but thinking they may expand to a 34). any help is appreciated!

I've never had any stretching issues with any of the superfreaks I've owned.

Superfreaks are just about all I ride and if you ask me they are the best board shorts on the market. They do stretch out a bit, but I tend to show a little crack anyway so I never notice it ;) The newest color way is dope if you haven't seen them yet...

can anyone tell me why superfreaks are worth the extra dough?

Brandon, I own a few pairs that a I just recently purchased and I def think they are worth the extra dough because not only do they dry quick( but every board short really does that) but they are also really thin and kinda stretchy which I find as a plus because they are more comfortable. But everyone has a different feel for everything so thats my input lets hear what everyone else has to say!

Guess I'm just cheap. I can't see spending $60 on some board shorts. I see it like this, I could buy a $60 dollar pair, or I could buy a 20 dollar pair and still have gas money to go riding this weekend. Haha.

Check Marshalls Department Store. I was just in there last Saturday and they had several pairs left from size 38 on up. $24. They didn't have my size:-(

I have a pair and I really like them too. They are a size 32 and I really wear closer to a 34, so I woul dsay that they run a little large. Brandon, I agree with not wanting to pay $60 for them. I found mine at a TJ Max and got them and then discovered how much I liked them. I really like that they streach, since I have a hard time finding shorts that fit my hips right.... TJ max and Marshalls are owned by the same company so check there, I have seen them at both, but not in my size again....

Costco usualy has name brand board shorts for under 20.00. The wake, surf, snow clothing industries are hurting due to there high prices and will have to come down in this economy.

I've seen them at like Sheel's sports (I think that mega sports store) for like $20 a pair too.

Superfreaks and the new Hyperfreaks are AMAZING and WORTH IT if you are a surfer. The purpose of them is to be able to surf all day and not get a rash, and for those that surf know how bad that can suck. If you are just looking for style purposes, you can find a boardshort that looks just as good for a little cheaper. The new hyperfreaks are $75

So you can actually walk in them while they are wet and not get a rash?!!? That would be perfect for the cable park! Then I would not be such a wuss about wanting to have a golf cart to take me back!

If that is the case.... I would definately be more interested in riding cable more. Yes, I am being serious. That and getting rid off the crap handles.
