Mute is grabbing with your front hand between your knees. bs 180, you have to hold the handle with your front hand. I guess you could wrap it first.

You don't need to wrap it, you would just have to do two handle passes. Watch this video of Randall Harris to see a bunch (both regular and switch). http://www.alliancewake.com/video_details.php?id=588&page=10

I love doing them, I have a shot somewhere I will upload it when I get home. Its not a sequence tho-. Garret is right you dont have to wrap it at all, you just have to get your front hand back on the rope befoe you turn it to blind, then you can either pass it or land wrapped.

Okay I understand, Andy. I've seen Randall do them like you describe and some other riders in videos. But, does a mute bs 1 have to consist of the mute grab at the beginning? Can a mute bs 1 consist of a bs1 rotation and then (what I guess would be) a mute grab as you come down for the landing? It is the same hand and position you would have used for a mute but now its technically your back hand after the bs1 rotation...Or would that grab just be considered an Indy? In simpler words, you launch, initiate the bs1, complete the bs1 transition and handle pass accordingly, and on your down or the last part of the trick you grab with your (now) trailing hand in the middle of your board.

Totally, why not, I love doing BS 180s with a handle pass then a grab. I would consider it a "backside 180 mute grab," opposed to a "mute grab backside 180." Totally different.
