I've never been and wanted to get the scoop on it. So....

Small, busy lake for the summer weekends. If you're planning on going on a weekend, there are other places where you can get better water. Off season and during the week is great, but it only takes a few boats to roll it out.

I don't even think it is good during the week in summer. I ride there everyweekend and ride a five mile an hour zone at 7AM and it is already rolled out sometimes (because lots of people ride the five).
Great lake to hang out and meet people but not so good for riding. Also it stays way colder then other lakes because the lake fluctuates 3 feet a day. Good luck, Mike

Mike, is the sheriff not hip to that, or does he not care? I've done it, but it always made me nervous.

Well we ride early in the morning so he is not there yet. And we ride sunday night before we leave. I know where the sheriff launches so we make sure he is not there when we ride.
I was told last week that he won't give you a ticket for riding in the back five, only a warning, but I really don't want to find out.

Plus we ride without a spotter so I really don't want to mess with that.

We have been riding back there for the last 8 years or so and I have never got a ticket yet.

ALthough the sheriff did come to my house and told me he has gotten too many compaints about my CF #s so I need to stop riding in the five. But that is when we would ride in the five with all of the houses in it.

Before anyone thinks that I am a$$ for riding in there. These areas used to never be 5 miles an hour and all the locals were pissed and ignored the laws when they were put in place and most still do today.
