Lake Mead 4th of July Weekend

Hello,

has anyone ever been to Lake Mead during 4th of July weekend? How's the traffic? I figure since the lake is so big, it wouldn't really be as bad as some of the smaller lakes in CA...

The launch ramps are pretty busy but the lake itself is huge and you wont see most people.

I've been on the 4th a couple times...Lake Mead Marina gets pretty busy...If you don't mind driving another 1-1.5hrs go to the Overton arm and up towards the virgin river stretch...we had great conditions...do be prepared for wind though...sometimes it get's nutty.
