Scott, it claims it was a successful install, and it will launch until you try to import a picture and then it says it needs to shutdown, try reinstalling the software. If you launch it and try to update it first, the updates just run in an endless loop then fail. It has been uninstalled (which claims it's succesful) and reinstalled 5 times. All other Adobe products have been uninstalled because we had some conflict issues with some of their other software before. I ran Adobe's Flash uninstall utility and MS installer utility to no avail. I've gone thru the registry and removed any trace of an Adobe product and removed all shared .dll's. It doesn't matter. Adobe's recommendation was format, reinstall the OS and then install CS3. I'll go back to CS2 before that. This is on a scientist's computer that is backed up data wise but would take weeks to reconfigure and tweak all of the software that is on here. Any suggestions?
