Need a little help. Have some guys who ride on my boat in the 225-270lbs. range,25-40yrs old. we have a 5yr old begin-intermediate Hyperlite 143 board with almost no contour, progressive rocker and bolt on single fins. They are getting better and I would like to purchase a new board that is not too expensive but will help them with pop and control to make our boarding more fun.Mostly want air, some 180s,360s no one inverts. Suggestions appreciated and sources to get them. Also is the 143 big enough?

Go on ebay... check out some boards, post what ones you find that you like and we'll tell you if it's a good deal or not. Otherwise someone will take more time and write something out i'm sure.

you need something bigger.

Look at the Hyperlite ERA 147, easy to ride board, great shape for learning and progressing; although, it is a pro-model ($$$$). Also look at the CWB Factor 144. It's a little twist on an older shape that works very well. You can get the Factor 144 with Torq boots for $429.

Thane would know... i'm 150 so I don't really know that far up in size and weight. I ride anywhere from a 133.5 - 139, prefering about a 137!

Thanks, like i said this board isn't even for me but i am have a good year and most of the guys who i spoke of are buying first homes, first kids ect.. and just don't have the cash flow, they may help pay for it over time but just getting gas money right now helps. So 144-147 huh? I'm no expert so I will have to go by recommendations as I don't know of anyone in the tristate area(OH.IND.KY) who has demo boards. Cincinnati is the nearest city to me but I don't know of any shops who have demos.

Motive, Era, Belmont, Trip.... look for those names. All very very good boards for all skill levels! I don't think there is a person on here that will disagree with that. Might have other options but those are probably your best bet for Hyperlite and Liquid Force. All can be found on ebay too, and for cheaper then some of the other top pro models.

found a Motive140, State140,144 after talkin over with the guys we settled on the Motive140. How do u guys think that will ride for them as a 140 vs 143 or 144? they all want a board easy to turn and twist ect.. so they want to try the 140 first and teh shop said if they don't like it we can return it for a 143 or 144. Spoke to a guy at Hyperlite and he also said the 140 should be big enough.
