well that's right next to BOB stadium. But there's no games this time of year so downtown Phoenix is about as much fun as a paper cut soaked in salty lemon juice. All the "action" is in Tempe and Scottsdale.

There is no studying allowed in Phoenix! If you are set on staying nearby, alice cooper has a sports bar there called "Cooper's Town" and Dan Majerle has a restaurant/bar called "Majerle's" On a good night they can be enjoyable. All depends on the crowd.

Drive up to Sedona - it's a beautiful drive and worth the effort.

Well I am going to be solo so I don't know what I will be doing. I have alot of meetings during the day and then I come back to Houston Tuesday. I was thinking of flying in a day early but don't really know if that is sufficient time to do all of the sight seeing? How far is Sedona?

Hey Girl, I would be glad to get you out on the watter but I have Drill all weekend. (Military) I wish I knew you were comming out earlier.

Right next to BOB??? umm no, about 20 min from BOB. If you want to party there is a great club on the west side called Mc Duffys. It is on 73rd ave just south of Bell. If you will be here Monday maybe we can go out then? Give me a call and let me know your plans, worst case we can have lunch or you can come over to our place and have dinner. We live about 10 min. from lake pleasant.

Also, try posting on our message board, you might be able to hook up with other AWA'rs and ride on the weekend. I will see what I can hook up for you.

I am trying to book my ticket ASAP. I guess I can wait until tomorrow to book it. It is the same price if I come Sat or Sunday. My schedule is pretty tight but if I came in a day early I could hang out and ride. The only thing is I don't think I will be able to bring my gear.. That will just be a pain.. We have all the gear you will need. You can use Chrissy's. She rides a 135 Primear with Parks Minni Mediums. All you need is a dyrsuit if you want one. We have some wetsuits.. I will give you a call.

I'm going to try to hit the lake Sunday as well. Let me know if you want in. I've got a 135 Gator that you might recognize the feel.

Joe, The scene in Texas is great. We have a ton of clubs, events, BUTTA, and great up and coming riders. Texas is one of the best place that has still yet to explode in the wakeboard industry. The events are usually pretty chill here in Houston. We like to have free rides, meaning camping for 3 days, riding with everyone, and maybe having a small comp and raffle.. Our club here is www.gulfcoastwakeboarding.com if you are ever in my neck of the woods!! We have organized events all through the season.

Also there are a few other clubs www.dallaswakeboarding.com I have never rode in Dallas unfortunately but I hope to get up there soon. They have the Texas Jam and it turned out awesome this past season. I am not sure how many riders they had but there were literally a TON!!

www.360wakeboard.com is in Austin. Those guys rock! Most of the riders in Austin are very very good!! I really like going there to see the riders they have. Austin is home of Waketoberfest which is I believe the first "grass roots" event in Texas. I could be wrong so PLEASE don't slam me if I am.. I do know they are the first wakeboared club started in Texas.

You have www.setxwakeboarding.com Those cats are in Beaumont. Super super cool people. They are up and coming. They have a private CLUB lake that is the pimpest of all!!

Are you moving to Dallas or something? If you are there this summer you should check out a GCWA event. We have alot of fun at our free rides and we have the best place on the Trinity. It is about a 3 1/2 hour drive but it is WELL worth it when you get there!

I will let you know when the Texas site is complete. It will be the BOMB! We are still working on T designs, site design, content etc etc. Its not an over night thing.

Butta, When is the GCWA event? Thats 3.5 hours from Dallas? Hell, I drive 10 hours to shasta, 3.5 is nothing. The Dallas scene sounds like fun. Do you ride year round? BTW, Peoria AZ kicks butt! Lake Pleasant is actually pleasant this time of year.

Buggman: It appears that I will soon be a Dallas resident. Susie got the offer and she wants the job. I may end up working in LA and commuting to Dallas on the weekends. That will be fun... Lets go eat some brazilian food and drink MaiTais.
