When do you guys think we will see a kegerator on a wakeboard boat? Does anyone already have one? If so, how did you rig it up? It would be great ballast.

took out the back seat and threw the trash can w/ keg and ice back there. The beer stays foamy though. But cold. It makes a preety big mess and your boat will smell like stale beer for a few days

we installed a party ball with co2 tank and bar style tap in a rubbermaid tub this spring. fill the tub with ice and you are golden.

I thought about it but you will have major foaming issues.

Even if the beer is just sloshing back and forth, happens when the boat is sitting and rollers come your way, it will foam. You also have to make sure the line stays cold that comes out of the keg or you will have a cup of foam everytime. (I know my home kegerator needs a fan to cool the lines)

Stop thinking "That would be pimp!" and just use bottles. I have been told that cans on a boat are trashy. I dunno???

bottles are dangerous, and illegal to have on the water in texas. for good reason. stick w/ cans or plastic bottles. oh teah, keg beer gives me a headache

I haul my 5 gallon homebrew kegs on the boat using a rubbermaid tub. The ice and keg make for some nice ballast. If you turn down the CO2, foaming isn't much of an issue until the keg is almost empty (especially when the keg is in the back of the boat). In my case it's acually easier than bottles since I'd have to put the homebrew in bottles beforehand.

Dante...

Cool! Another wakeboarder/homebrewer! I have been using the 2.5 gallon kegs for ease of use/space. I have been thinking about making a jockey box, but have found other uses for the $100.

I have also found that there are only a handful of the people I know that appreciate the types of beer I like to brew. Most of the boarding types seem to like the coors lite, bud lite, miller lite, corona lite realm.

Haven't homebrewed for years, but it got me started on dark beer. The more it looks like coffee the better. Can you say Mr. Beer?
