The Malibu Warranty is 3 years bumper to bumber right? Seats are between the bumpers right? My dealer wants to charge me $75 to fix a seat. I don't plan on payng for it.

It's a 04 VLX purchased in Dec of 04. I still have 8 months of warranty work left.

This isn't my first issue with the seat in question. The first time they fixed I didn't like how it went and I made it clear I wasn't going to pay for it if I had problems with it again. I don't have any wear and tear on my boat baby. It's CLEAN.

What are the rest of the specifics of the Malibu warranty? I've never had any big issues with mine, so not sure of the exact details.

You mentioned 3 years bumper to bumper. Is that the engine too, or is that 1 year? What about the hull warranty - is it lifetime?

Just curious.

Here is the 07 Malibu warranty. I doubt they have changed it since 04. I don't really see anything about vinyl.

If it is a defect issue they should fix it no problem. If it is neglect or puncture I think that is different. I had an issue on my hatch where the vinyl pulled away from the handle insert and they replaced the whole skin no hassle.

What exactly is wrong with the seat? Like Johnny said, if it is neglect that caused the problem, I don't think you will be covered under warranty.

Contact Malibu, their dealers get a little tight sometime ...depending on the dealer.

On our '04 LSV, the seats started tearing around the piping. Copes/ Ultimate Watersports covered the repairs under warranty with absolutely no hassle. They replaced four skins.

Malibu just me called and said it's covered under warranty. It's a 3 year bumper to bumper or 400 hours what ever comes first.
