Servo Motor on Perfect Pass , Does Yours Turn By h

Just Bought a 2001 X-10 with Perfect Pass, thought it was working when I bought it, but I got it home and started trying to use it, and found out that it really is not working, I checked PP website & went through the Linkage Test, and it says that the servo motor knob should turn by hand, if not, your servo motor may be seized. Does anyone elses turn by hand? Anyone know where I can buy one? Any help, please. Pav

Mine turns by hand but I'm sorry I have no idea where to get a new servo but there is a guy on ebay selling a complete kit for "Approximately US $533.29". Seems like a waste thou if you just need the servo.

Call perfect pass. They will either replace it or chanrge you a mininal amount for it.

If it does not turn by hand it is definately frozen and must be replaced. I just went through this 2 weeks ago. $ 100 from Perfect Pass.

Also the ignition has to be off in order for you to spin the knob counter clock-wise

my servo motor has went out TWICE! As expensive an option as it is, I expect a little better with only 100 hours on the boat.

ya, mine went out after 35hrs. :-(

At least it was still under warrenty.

I took it apart today, and it is just a rotor and stator that were rusted together, bearings were fine. I glass blasted, coated, and put back together. It turns by hand now. I will see tonight if it works. If not, Perfect Pass said it will be $75 for a new one.

It works, I did all the tests and it did fine. Took it out on the water and it works now, but the boat is surging now(faster & slower)

Quick note: that servo motor won't turn by hand if the PP is on. It will only turn by hand if the PP is off.
